What do you do?
I’ve got a case of the octopus hands and a runaway creative brain so always liked to do more than one thing.
I work with clients Coaching and Tarot Reading. I had quite the tough adventure in my early 20’s and I work from everything that it taught me and then side by side with that I tune in to all my clients and know how to help them. I speak to groups and run workshops to share my favorite topics, write for a few different publications and also paint. I’m an artist at heart. I like to make things.
Right now I’m also currently working on a jewelry collection and creating some things for my shop, they are what I’m most excited about right now!
Just give us a quick sentence of explanation for the services you offer?
I see myself as being able to shove people back into their skin (but that doesn’t sound so eloquent on a business card). I want everyone to know it’s ok not to feel ok, learn how to find their own balance through self-knowledge and awareness and reclaim their personal power.
At a base level I have (from having always felt weird and not understood) a huge passion to help people feel less alone.
You do coaching; What’s the most common issues people are coming to you about?
Everyone has the exact same set of fears just packaged up in entirely unique ways.
I see a lot of people with anxiety and types of unprocessed traumas. I also work as a bit of a big sister to those new to their own spiritual connection. I help people get to know their inner dialogue and shift fearful thoughts and negative mindsets. My clients are usually at a point of change and are feeling a bit lost. I guide them in locating why and help them rebuild their own reconnect the mind-body-spirit. My clients are also btw the best people ever met. It’s eye opening and heart warming to hang out with them.
If you could tell your 23 year old self something… what would it be?
“You aren’t crazy – everything is exactly how it is supposed to be.”
Now we’re a health blog, you’re very in touch with your core self and body, how does that inform your health and eating habits ?
I have learned to listen to body from having had and recovered from chronic illness and PTSD in the past. I know when I’m in and out of balance, instantly. I think it’s so easy for people to be overwhelmed by what to eat or how to live and if you take it down to the basics it’s so much easier and you will feel better. Learn about yourself and go from there. Like Kale may be cool but if you are intolerant to it then it’s not going to be your superhero.
I have an autoimmune thyroid disorder called Hashimotos and so everything is aligned to care for it. If I don’t look after myself or I get stressed then I get quite ill, quickly.
At the heart of everything I just don’t want to feel shit! so I’m super passionate about being kind and interested in myself. Every day I just endeavor to at least try.
What are the 5 healthy life tips you do daily?
– I have a morning practice that involves committing to sitting down on a cushion and valuing my time, so I start everyday with writing, drawing, tarot or just remembering to breathe. This is my balancing thread that holds me together.
– I connect in some way with someone that I love. I’m an introvert and I love spending time on my own and so I have to remember to send antennae out.
– I try and move in some way – Pilates and walking suits me but even often it’s just stretching out into a great starfish shape in my bed.
– Feel all my feelings and know they are ok.
– Honour my creativity. If I don’t paint or make something I feel sad and mad.
Tell us for real.. is there anything into newspaper horoscopes ?
Having done some ghost writing of horoscopes in the past I was certainly up to my eyeballs in transits, planets and all the detail! But, I was working with the coolest people…. So I can’t tell you for sure but certainly in the papers it’s watered down and you see a tiny snippet, and that will only inspire people to think its nonsense.
If you want to really want to get it, study your own chart, an exact map of the sky when you were born. I’ve never seen anyone do that and not be at least a lot in awe. It’s a beautiful, especially for self-development. Destiny is your partner in crime.
What is the process behind creating your in-depth and insightful Tarotscope readings ?
My process is that I sit with my cards and energetically tune into the readers for who I am writing for and then pick a card for each sign. Then I sit and channel them aka I just start typing until I’ve finished. Practical magic. (You can read my monthlies on thenuminous.net and get a free 2014 scope from my site!)

I can talk to dead people?
Probably everything I experience is spooky, but to me it’s just how it is, and it’s awesome. Having said that I LOVE spooky stories, the old-fashioned horror movie kind and I like history.
I’m hoping my future husband is going to tell me ghost stories and at the same time be cool with the idea that they are probably also listening to him read the story. (Hello?)
I digress though, here is one for you.
When I was 17 I woke up one night and there was a woman standing by my bed. She was clear as day and watching me, but not in a scary way, she had a kind of sweet aunt vibe too her. So I was like cool a ghost, or what I’d call an apparition now, as it’s different to how I see spirits now.
The great thing is that I grew up in a house over 400 years old. So it transpired that over the years people would pop by because their great great uncle so and so lived there and we would let them look around. Every person who has ever come or knew our house would ask, “Have you seen the ghost?” and my Mum would say yes my daughter has, and we all has the same exact description of her. OOOooooooOOOOooo. Apparently three sisters used to share the house and they were known for watching over whoever lived there. I always thought it was cool, the house had the best vibes.
My mum also would also, very often hear a chorus singing in the attic.
Something else. When I dream that someone I know is crying then they always are in life, I check on them – I’ve never had this be wrong. It’s lovely and sad all at the same time

but it doesn’t need to be a fondue party people .. soups are a great nutrient dense meal .. and they can pack a soup-a punch (yep thats the only pun i have for this post so Im going to sprinkle it EVERYWHERE!!! ) by adding super foods so that warming delicious cup o love .. but remember soup is warm so it has to be superfoods that can handle the heat and have all those vitamins to ward off flu nasties as well as being savoury .. acai berry soup is a NAAAT .. the following are your new best friends ..

General Health Tips for Vata Types:
Maintain regular habits, try to eat and sleep at the same time every night. Get enough rest and choose foods that are warm, cooked, nourishing, and easy to digest. It’s important to be active on a daily basis as Kapha types are prone to sluggishness, depression, and being overweight. Getting out of the house and actively seeking new experiences is also recommended. Be receptive to useful change, be intentional in implementing life-enhancing actions. Choose foods that are light, warm, and spicy. Tea with dried ginger and lemon is a great pick-me-up for Kaphas. Avoid heavy oily and processed sugars, which are detrimental to Kaphas. Use lots of spices such as black pepper, ginger, cumin, chili and lots of bitter dark greens.

I love when a company does it right and I also love a Dairy Free Milk Alternative .. in fact I think I have tried every brand under the sun ..Ii dont think actually I know , I carry rice milk in my bag at all times .YES I AM THAT LAME!.
So its pretty important when I find a brand that does a delicious one .. thats organic, with few ingredients and kind of funny!

yes it exists .. I recently came across Rude health ( a health food company noted for its cereals and granola) they’ve branched out into milk alternative drinks . and they are great . good for the earth,body and mind . most notably they are one of the only almond milk brands that doesn’t contain CARRAGEENAN an additive that has shown to be cancer causing (WTF ! I KNOW ) along with gastrointestinal issues .. its best just avoided (CLICK HERE FOR FULL INFO) .
As for the rice milk , its the only brand i’ve come across in the UK that uses Brown Rice, so you’re getting a wholegrain .. a WHOLE FOOD !! which is lower Gi (sugary basically) than white rice and more nutritious ! it also means it is broken down by the body easier . can I get a WHOOP WHOOP !

not only does it not have any baddy additives, its also got an ingredients list that is so short ! so Rude health in perfect British form does exactly what its says on the tin .
Anyway point is its British , Environmentally friendly, healthy, funny, and far outshines all of the other million long ingredient milk alternatives .

1 cup milk substitute (rice , almond, oat whatever go crazy!)
1/3 cup water
1-2 Tbsp. coconut oil (optional but helpful for the flu-ey people because its of antibacterial properties)
raw honey/stevia/maple syrup to taste
Boil water and turmeric in small saucepan over medium-high heat for 8 minutes (the turmeric must be fully cooked if not powdered ). Meanwhile, bring the milk and coconut oil to boiling point in a separate pan and remove from heat. Combine the two mixtures and add sweetness of your choice .

How To Travel Like A Genius … 101
so i’ve just done a long haul flight .. 23 hours all up .. i do this maybe 2-3 times per year .. so my friends …i am a F*cking star at travelling , and have met every kind of traveller possible .
Firstly i would like to mention, you can take as much food as you want on the plane , you can make your meals at home and take them onboard long as they arent a liquid over 100ml .. I take vegetables, fruit and salads , you’re not obligated to eat plane food , this really confuses me when people are like ” ugh i feel bad I had to eat plane food , you know how disgusting that stuff is !” yehhh i do .. so do you apparently , but the steward must have held the air-marshalls gun to your head and stuffed that rock hard bread roll down your throat .. because i see that happen so much .. What the F&ck ??!?
so take apples, berries, salads, granola , vegetables.. for christ sake take half the health food store , you’ll feel so much better for it and i promise no one will blink an eye, people will just be like .. dammit i wish i had brought delicious food, whilst eating a curry in a foil dish that looks like a warmed up turd .

dehydration , lack of oxygen and lack of nutrients are to blame for this one .. which is why you should take as many leafy greens on the plane with you . but taking a Greens Supplement will do wonders, they also keep your digestion detoxing so you wont get bloated from the pressure of eating food so high up!! plus it will give you some added boost and energy .. think something with barley grass (alkalising) spirulina (energising) and Chorella (detoxing) .

i had to add this one , its disgusting yes .. but the amount of people who ask me about this one … if i had a penny!
different to magnesium supplements (please don’t confuse them :I) , magnesium oxide (Milk Of Magnesium) is a bowel supplement .. not a laxative as such as all it does is bring oxygen and moisture back to the digestive tract allowing for proper elimination naturally (no running to the bathroom required) it is really important to be eliminating especially if you choose to eat the plane food (silly) because you’ll need energy when you’ve compromised your body due to changing your eating habits, exotic foods , timezones, and lack of routine .. so this will be a game changer .
The Stomach Bug Traveller
there is always one person you know (its probably you), who steps on a plane gets sneezed on by an old dude and rubbed by the snotty fingers of the child sitting next to you .. and boom you’re out with either flu or gastro , people have come to accept these travel bugs as just a natural occurrence of air travel . it needn’t be so , first probiotics .. the good bacteria in your body , when strong will fight an win against almost ALL bacteria, infections and germs so keep those little men strong and take probiotics throughout the flight .
secondly another line of defence is colloidal silver (in spray form) is activated silver suspended in water which when sprays acts as a barrier between you and any bacteria and germs .. i spray my blanket and chair as well as myself (like a shower of tiny jewellery ) .. or better yet when the mother isn’t looking .. spray the sticky child next to you , then hide under your blanket and pretend its a fun game .
The Bad Circulation Traveller
Swelly legs, tired face, stiffness and tingling .. yeh that would be you and your shitty circulation , they say most people should take aspirin when flying not just to prevent from DVT (deep vein thrombosis) but to just assist the body in circulating your blood (and water) when put under the strain and literal pressure of high altitudes . but you don’t need to take aspirin .. Garlic is one of the best anticoagulants in the world , its been used for thousands of years, and naturally aids circulation , and has similar (sometimes clinically proven to have better) effects of circulation when flying.
Finally , the usual tips, drink loads of water, get up and walk , and finally enjoy that you have however many hours to sit and think about fun stuff or watch some shitty films . p.s another plus when you bring your own food with you, is you get to use the bathroom whilst everyone else is being served dinner… and we know what the bathroom is like when 100 plus people get fed toxic high shelf-life airplane food.. so enjoy your fresh as a daisy toilet time before the masses tarnish it .

I Recently started reading into and attempting the Ayurvedic Approach to health , which if you click the link I’ve already given you a run down of the “Art Of Living”.. and a link to find your Dosha Type .. Which is actually a really fun little quiz so here it is again:
Below is the book I’ve been Reading which has the quiz in it .. and i’ve .. to the bewilderment of all my friends been subjecting them and grouping them into their Dosha Types .. and have actually become super quick at picking peoples before they do the test… so fortune teller I know.. the amazing thing has been how spot on they are .. right down to their food preferences and even what exercise of work environment they thrive in.
These are the 3 Dosha’s .. which Ayurvedic medicine believes we are all comprised of however individually havegreater constitution of 1 primary type.. sometimes 2 (lucky!) .. and an imbalance in our bodies of the 3 doshas is the basis for all mental and physical problems , including disease and weight problems as well as depression
Im a typical Vata .. and recently have decided to follow the rules of my dosha type .. i must say it makes sense .. however I’m a vegan , sooooo its kinda hard when your Dosha type thrives of dairy and warm food .. so i’ve had to find alternatives , but whatever . it explains my former obsession for eating tubs of yogurt in the bath… now that i think about it .. that was depressingly Bridget Jone’s of me .. especially as it usually happened saturday nights , with Will & Grace playing on my laptop.. sometimes I do a mental mantra reminding myself i’m only 22 years old ..
But one amazing supplement the research i’ve been doing has turned me onto is ASHWAGANDHA .. yes is ass rapingly difficult to pronounce

but Ashwaganda its shown to have amazing properties in the body .. no matter who you are . its worth a try .. especially if you have a high stress situation going on and has also shown to
- normalizes levels of hydrocortisone,
- causes the size of the adrenal glands to return to normal,
- increases thyroid hormone levels,
- decreases inflammatory cytokines,
- decreases oxidizing agents that can trigger inflammation,
- decreases brain chemicals associated with anxiety,
- markedly improves stamina and energy, and
- turns on and improves white blood cell function to fight infections.
