Something he created out of love and necessity having found interest in the “biohacking” world thats so revolutionary in America , his frustration at not being able to access the products that were enabling people like Tim Ferriss and Dave Asprey to optimise their brains, bodies and productivity .. so basically creating super humans . He decided to bridge the gap and bring BIOHACKING TO BRITAIN . I know right . we picked his ..correction .. Upgraded super brain and found out the following…
how did you get interested in health ?
The story of humble Vitamin D started my fascination with health. I was blown away that this simple Vitamin could influence over 1000 genes within the human genome. After a quick google search I realised I could get my blood levels of serum 25-hydroxy-vitamin D tested quickly and cheaply and after raising them to the correct levels I set about seeing what else I could manipulate.
what is the one myth .. that you would love to eradicate forever about health ?
I think peoples health is being screwed up mostly by a lack of responsibility from individuals themselves. The myth that you can eat one particular way (be that SAD, paleo, low carb…) and everything is going to be OK is wrong. People need to take responsibility to see what they personally need to eat, how much they need to work out and what they need to do to prevent cognitive decline and then do those things over the long term.
what do you think the trends in health and wellness will be in the next 5 years?
I think the ability for the average person to manipulate their brain neurochemistry is going to be the most important health development of the next 5 years. Cognitive decline is going to become the biggest health issue facing humanity alongside obesity as diets get worse and people live longer.
I think in time it will be commonplace to take a neuroprotective nootropic drug like piracetam in the morning alongside your omega 3s and vitamin d supplements.
your brand has quite a strong foot in the Paleo world , its quite largely misunderstood as cross fitting steak eaters.. whats the real scoop?
The real scoop is that the word ‘paleo’ is used to sell cook books and diets. The movement started with an emphasis on eating real, wholefoods which is what I wholeheartedly support. As long as you’re eating a bunch of whole veg, a decent amount of fats from things like butter and avocado and a fist size of quality meat a day you’re doing well.
whats a day in the life of your plate look like ?
I intermittent fast and so I have a black coffee in the mornings using freshly ground Bioupgraded – High Performance Coffee beans and then have lunch around 1-2pm. Lunch is usually a salad of some kind – organic baby gem lettuce, cucumber, celery, avocado, tomatoes with some kind of meet like salmon or chicken. I make a little salad dressing using MCT oil and a squeeze of lemon too.
I enjoy cooking and so my evening meal could be anything. For example tonight I’m going to making slow cooked, sticky Chinese ribs and a tomato and basil soup. I’ll likely throw some kind of fruit cocktail together for a desert too. Random but delicious.
what supplements would you recommend for overall health ?
Vitamin D and Omega 3s (with Krill Oil being the best source) are essential for most people. After that it really depends on your mental and physical performance and training goals.
ABOVE: some of the supplements Will Curates on the site
who would you LOVE to interview on your podcast ?
It’s an obvious one, but Tim Ferriss was a huge influence for me to track my own health biomarkers and then use this data to improve them. Importantly his original book the 4 hour work week was massive inspiration for me to take control of my life and become and entrepreneur.
I’d love to interview Tim and dive deep into what makes him tick on the mindset kind of level.
exercise is important , but is it cardio , HIIT , cross fit , yoga ?!? the debate rolls on , whats your 2 cents ?
Yoga is incredible and is something that I’m really into at the moment. Being tall I’ve never had decent flexibility and so it’s a new side of being ‘in shape’ that I’ve never really experimented with before.
I do a lot of rock climbing but when I’m not training specifically for that my weekly break down is this –
– HIIT once a week to increase mitochondria numbers and function (plus countless epigenetic knock on effects)
– ‘Lift heavy stuff’ twice a week which consists of 6-8 reps x3 sets of squats, deadlift, bench press, overhead press and a few other compound movements.
– Specific training for niggles. For example I smashed up my clavicle last year sledding and I’m still having issues with my infraspinatus being tight and so I do daily exercises to strengthen the muscles around this at the moment.
what is the one healthy lifestyle habit you think can improve everyones wellbeing?
3 out of 4 visits to US doctors are for stress related ailments, stress is also the cause of 60% of all human illness and disease. Stress related aliments costs the US economy $300 billion a year (obesity costs way less at $200 billion).
Most of the people reading this right now are likely stressed, however there is a solution. It’s simple, free, we’ve been doing it for thousands of years – meditation.
If everyone relaxed their brains for 20 minutes a day by meditating the world would instantly become a healthier place.
1 sentence about sugar (ha!)
Sugar is fine, in moderation, with real food, in the PM (as it effects your blood glucose and so insulin levels differently throughout the day).
1 sentence about FAT!
Fat isn’t the devil, most of your brain is made out of it!
1 sentence about Protein
Moderate protein guys, otherwise it can cause serious inflammation.
1 sentence about carbs
Carbs = insulin spike which is a useful tool if used correctly.

in the UK, £ 260 million is spent each year on painkillers such as aspirin and paracetamol. Salicylic acid, the active ingredient in aspirin and other painkillers, is a gastrointestinal irritant, increasing the permeability of the gut wall. This in turn upsets the absorption of nutrients, allowing incompletely digested foods to pass into the bloodstream, alerting the immune system and triggering allergy responses to common foods.

this is real life people …
I’m not a member of the Kale Club
I always feel like I’m chewing on a Nappy when I eat it .. so rough .. so rigid … and so needy .. you basically need to massage it better than a 90 minute Swedish Remedial to make it somewhat supple… and agreeable .. which actually does sound a lot like myself , so despite being the human equivalent of KALE , I simply don’t get the hype .
I do appreciate it being the Gateway Vegetable (insert WEED joke here) for healthy living . but the same way a stoner can get locked into the monotony of lighting up daily “just cos” I think the other vegetables have been overlooked (this is not an incentive to try various drugs, this is just poor writing on my behalf… please stick to BUTTON mushrooms)
LUCKILY SOME SMARTIES TOOK THE TIME TO DO THE RESEARCH AND DISCOVER WHAT IS THE REAL SUPER FOOD VEGGIE ???
Jennifer Di Noia of William Paterson University, looked at 17 important nutrients naturally occuring in food (fiber, protein, potassium, Vitamin A, B12, D) and calculated how much of those nutrients were found in a 100-calorie serving. The results are interesting. Watercress ranks as the most nutrient-rich vegetable, while other leafy greens like chard, chicory and lettuce rank well. Turnips, sweet potatoes and grapefruits performed worse.
SEE FULL CHART BELOW :
SO the winner was WATERCRESS! who’d have thought .. being the cliche I am .. I naturally went out a purchased some .. and ate it stems and all .and then i found A WHOLE FREAKIN’ SITE DEDICATED TO WATERCRESS!!!

So firstly Chris Kresser is a licensed acupuncturist and practitioner of integrative medicine. if you dont know him .. you basically don’t know anything about functional medicine and I’m about to blow your mind .
His website http://chriskresser.com is a vast vast wealth of knowledge about everything from Gluten intolerance to baby nutrition .. in face he wrote a book called The Healthy Baby Code .. so he know babies .
so before you get engulfed in a deep dive of his blog/website and free E-books .. which really shouldnt be free .. so we’re ripping him off something major .. so now we know he’s charitable .. do you love him as much as i do ??
Probably his most useful resource is his PODCAST .. where people can record questions for him to answer … ad boy does he answers .
SO THE PERSONAL ANGLE … my mum has a blood disorder so i thought on a whim and a prayer i would write in asking about her current aspirin prescription and illness.. and i woke up this morning with a new little podcast nestled like a sweet little egg in my hand (Hi Iphone glued to head whilst sleeping) – so unhealthy .
He answers the or paradigm that ASPIRIN IS FINE FOR LONG TERM USE …. so even thought the question was specific about my mums condition its also so useful for those trying to figure out the pro’s and cons of the little white pill .

What do you do?
I’ve got a case of the octopus hands and a runaway creative brain so always liked to do more than one thing.
I work with clients Coaching and Tarot Reading. I had quite the tough adventure in my early 20’s and I work from everything that it taught me and then side by side with that I tune in to all my clients and know how to help them. I speak to groups and run workshops to share my favorite topics, write for a few different publications and also paint. I’m an artist at heart. I like to make things.
Right now I’m also currently working on a jewelry collection and creating some things for my shop, they are what I’m most excited about right now!
Just give us a quick sentence of explanation for the services you offer?
I see myself as being able to shove people back into their skin (but that doesn’t sound so eloquent on a business card). I want everyone to know it’s ok not to feel ok, learn how to find their own balance through self-knowledge and awareness and reclaim their personal power.
At a base level I have (from having always felt weird and not understood) a huge passion to help people feel less alone.
You do coaching; What’s the most common issues people are coming to you about?
Everyone has the exact same set of fears just packaged up in entirely unique ways.
I see a lot of people with anxiety and types of unprocessed traumas. I also work as a bit of a big sister to those new to their own spiritual connection. I help people get to know their inner dialogue and shift fearful thoughts and negative mindsets. My clients are usually at a point of change and are feeling a bit lost. I guide them in locating why and help them rebuild their own reconnect the mind-body-spirit. My clients are also btw the best people ever met. It’s eye opening and heart warming to hang out with them.
If you could tell your 23 year old self something… what would it be?
“You aren’t crazy – everything is exactly how it is supposed to be.”
Now we’re a health blog, you’re very in touch with your core self and body, how does that inform your health and eating habits ?
I have learned to listen to body from having had and recovered from chronic illness and PTSD in the past. I know when I’m in and out of balance, instantly. I think it’s so easy for people to be overwhelmed by what to eat or how to live and if you take it down to the basics it’s so much easier and you will feel better. Learn about yourself and go from there. Like Kale may be cool but if you are intolerant to it then it’s not going to be your superhero.
I have an autoimmune thyroid disorder called Hashimotos and so everything is aligned to care for it. If I don’t look after myself or I get stressed then I get quite ill, quickly.
At the heart of everything I just don’t want to feel shit! so I’m super passionate about being kind and interested in myself. Every day I just endeavor to at least try.
What are the 5 healthy life tips you do daily?
– I have a morning practice that involves committing to sitting down on a cushion and valuing my time, so I start everyday with writing, drawing, tarot or just remembering to breathe. This is my balancing thread that holds me together.
– I connect in some way with someone that I love. I’m an introvert and I love spending time on my own and so I have to remember to send antennae out.
– I try and move in some way – Pilates and walking suits me but even often it’s just stretching out into a great starfish shape in my bed.
– Feel all my feelings and know they are ok.
– Honour my creativity. If I don’t paint or make something I feel sad and mad.
Tell us for real.. is there anything into newspaper horoscopes ?
Having done some ghost writing of horoscopes in the past I was certainly up to my eyeballs in transits, planets and all the detail! But, I was working with the coolest people…. So I can’t tell you for sure but certainly in the papers it’s watered down and you see a tiny snippet, and that will only inspire people to think its nonsense.
If you want to really want to get it, study your own chart, an exact map of the sky when you were born. I’ve never seen anyone do that and not be at least a lot in awe. It’s a beautiful, especially for self-development. Destiny is your partner in crime.
What is the process behind creating your in-depth and insightful Tarotscope readings ?
My process is that I sit with my cards and energetically tune into the readers for who I am writing for and then pick a card for each sign. Then I sit and channel them aka I just start typing until I’ve finished. Practical magic. (You can read my monthlies on thenuminous.net and get a free 2014 scope from my site!)
Now. We’re all thinking it and sure you’ve been asked a million times, any spooky stories ?
I can talk to dead people?
Probably everything I experience is spooky, but to me it’s just how it is, and it’s awesome. Having said that I LOVE spooky stories, the old-fashioned horror movie kind and I like history.
I’m hoping my future husband is going to tell me ghost stories and at the same time be cool with the idea that they are probably also listening to him read the story. (Hello?)
I digress though, here is one for you.
When I was 17 I woke up one night and there was a woman standing by my bed. She was clear as day and watching me, but not in a scary way, she had a kind of sweet aunt vibe too her. So I was like cool a ghost, or what I’d call an apparition now, as it’s different to how I see spirits now.
The great thing is that I grew up in a house over 400 years old. So it transpired that over the years people would pop by because their great great uncle so and so lived there and we would let them look around. Every person who has ever come or knew our house would ask, “Have you seen the ghost?” and my Mum would say yes my daughter has, and we all has the same exact description of her. OOOooooooOOOOooo. Apparently three sisters used to share the house and they were known for watching over whoever lived there. I always thought it was cool, the house had the best vibes.
My mum also would also, very often hear a chorus singing in the attic.
Something else. When I dream that someone I know is crying then they always are in life, I check on them – I’ve never had this be wrong. It’s lovely and sad all at the same time

HOW TO FIND LOULOU!!!!!!!! CLICKEDY CLICK
Lately in the health and wellness realms the idea of food as medicine is old hat. And now after thurough research a growing concern for the health habits of the current human population is being pointed to as the leading causes is everything from weight gain to chronic illness so basically it all starts with SLEEP.
SO what are the QUICK SAD FACTS:
-We sleep on an average 6.8 hours as opposed to 9 hours a century ago (shittt)
-Sleep is intricately connected to various hormonal and metabolic processes in the body and is important in maintaining metabolic homeostasis (mega shitt)
-Epidemiological data increasingly suggests that short sleep duration or chronic partial sleep deprivation may increase the risk of type II diabetes. (woopsie)
-Studies also revealed that chronic sleep deprivation (sleep less than 8 hours) was associated with increase in BMI. (that’s fat ladies)
-Loss of sleep or poor quality sleep over time has been associated with high blood pressure
-Long term studies on large number of shift workers suggested increase in breast and colon cancers
HOW DO YOU HACK YOUR SLEEP ?
Waking and sleeping at regular times reinforces a consistent sleep rhythm and reminds the brain when to release those all-important sleep and wake hormones… yep this is called you circadian rhythm my dears .
BLOOD SUGAR REGULATION
The second most common cause of insomnia is blood sugar issues …90% of people are unaware of this problem until the detrimental effects begin to show . because we simply cant connect that the jumping your insulin levels all over the shop during the day seriously effects your hormones (INSULIN IS A HORMONE MY FRIENDS!!!)
This is happening if You’re eat every 2-3 hours all day (snacking and grazing have been debunked as that 90’s myth of increasing metabolism .. instead its 3 meals a day which regulate sugar levels in turn making your metabolism most efficient . ” this constant eating results your body expecting to get fed every 2-3 hours, right, sooo good luck going to bed at the end of the day and expecting to sleep through the night, youre going to wake up when your blood sugar drops enough for you body to release adrenaline and wake you up (probs HANGRY as F*ck)
TIPS TO COUNTERACT THIS:
1. eat 3-4 square meals a day with no snacking .. like a human
2.Eat whole foods – avoid processed foods. - your body understands these and utilizes them properly .. Gummy worms and Diet Coke … are basically completely alien to your insides
3. Eat Protein in the morning and carbs at night .. counter intuitive to what we previously thought .. but carbs in the evening of the SAFE KIND like root vegetables actually aid in the release of serotonin which switches on the signals to sleep (serotonin is the “happy” chemical yes, which also explains why depressed people also suffer from insomnia)
*NOTE a sweet potato , yam or white potato are the perfect carbs to keep blood sugar levels smooth sailing through the whole slumber session (a great book detailing this is Potato’s Not Prozac , a worthy read for any food addict or diabetic )
Research has demonstrated that nighttime light exposure suppresses the production of melatonin, the major hormone secreted by the pineal gland that controls sleep and wake cycles, so keep your room dark as possible , funnily enough a study also showed that even if a source of light was pointed at a sleeping persons foot (not in eyesight) the body start to cycle into the waking faze … WOW ! Nowadays we have so much light emitting form tech things like phones and computers , its worth downloading the FREE program – f.lux which switches you laptop screen to AMBER lights , enabling optimal circadian rhythm .. And is also less geeky then wearing amber glasses ..
SUPPLEMENTS THAT HELP:
L-Theanine is a non-protein amino acid found naturally in green tea (Camellia sinensis). It is clinically proven to reduce stress, balance mood and improve the quality of sleep. It’s mechanism of action is through direct effect on GABA receptors. Recommended dose approximately 100mg before bed. – See more at: http://drhedberg.com/2012/02/06/how-to-cure-insomnia/#sthash.90M7DyMC.dpuf
brain’s relationship with the adrenal glands. After only ten days of high doses of PS, research has shown that excessive cortisol levels can be decreased in healthy men. PS has also been shown to enhance brain function and memory, decrease anxiety and depression, improve mood, and enhance metabolism. It is also an antioxidant. It is very difficult for the body to make PS as it requires many nutrients for production. Supplementation is vital for optimizing adrenal function so cortisol cannot have its negative effects on the body and the thyroid.
Magnesium aids in calming the nerves and relaxing the muscles, which in turn can help individuals to fall asleep. Similarly, a deficiency of the mineral is sometimes responsible for the nervousness that prevents sleep. Magnesium deficiency hampers the ability of the body’s motor nerves, which carry electrical impulses from the brain to the muscles to send the correct messages
melatonin, in low doses for short periods – no more than a week or two at a time – can help regulate sleep rhythms. Generally, 1/2mg -2 mg about an hour and a half before bed will do the trick. Keep in mind however, for some people, over-use of melatonin can actually disrupt sleep, so use it sparingly and follow the manufacturer’s dosing instructions.
herbs like lemon balm, passion flower, chamomile, magnolia and valerian root ALL aid in relaxation and have proven to be as effective as some prescriptive sleeping medications
GET THE FULL LOWDOWN ON THE LINK BELOW :
1. if you feel a “tired but wired” sensation at night it means that the your cortisol (stress hormone) cycle is out of whack .. it should be high in the morning .. to get us out of bed .. and slowly lower till the evening to allow for melotonin to build inducing sleep
2. if your excuse for lack of sleep is needing to pee … its not ok .. waking up to pee is actually rather abnormal because our body produces hormones that stop us need to relive our selves at night
3.Better-reported sleep quality (longer duration and better quality sleep) was associated with greater fat loss during a calorie-restriction diet program in adults.
“A good laugh and a long sleep are the best cures in the doctor’s book.” – Irish Proverb
So everyone is pushing Pro-Biotics and good bacteria .. the relation of which in the body have been shown to affect weight, mood , metabolism and the possibility to develop autoimmune disease and crippling health issues like IBS and Eczema .
SO what is it , why do we need it .. and how come we’re so lacking in it ?!?!?
Henrietta Norton Is a UK based Nutritional therapist ,HUFFINGTON POST contributor , member of Guild of Health Writers, published author , Health Speaker , mother AND co-founder of the whole food nutritional supplement company Wild Nutrition … AND TAKE A BREATH! I don’t think I’ve ever used that many comma’s to describe one person…oh I forgot she was also named as ES magazine’s ‘ top 10 health gurus to have on speed dial’
So basically whatever she’s taking we want right ?
She’s not only been helping out clients deal with health issues , mainly in the realm of woman’s health and fertility (she wrote a book on Endometriosis) she’s now embarked on a new endeavour to provide whole-food derived supplements that are free of fillers, bulking agents or synthetic ingredients.. out of neccessity to provide her own clients with supplements that were actually functional and healthful unlike so many commercially produced products on the market … being one of the only brands available that refuses to use plastics! she’s so far ahead of the game.. we had to pick her brain .
*note : she is currently pregnant .. is this woman a superhero ?!??! what the what!?!?
what is the one health myth you wish the general public would just put to rest?
Fat is bad for your health. If meat comes from naturally raised, grass-fed or organic animals, keep the skin on! It will provide valuable fat-soluble nutrients such as vitamins A, D and E but also amino acids, CLA and AA which have vital role in neurological development (11% of the brain is made up of AA), gut health and reducing prematurely ageing skin. Women are most vulnerable to eating a diet that is too low in fat.
what personal diet philosophy do you follow (supplements/plant based/ancestral etc ) ?
I think balance is the key and therefore don’t follow any diet that is too restrictive. However I will cook foods from scratch, using foods that are as close to nature as nature intended. This means my diet is naturally high in plant based foods and proteins. I do believe that if you start from a foundation of wellness, a little of what you fancy is part of that balance. I guess it can be summarized by the 80/20 approach. I only take Food-state supplements as this is the way in which the body is attuned to receiving nutrients – not as synthetically generated isolates as found in many supplements. I see outstanding results from using these natural low dose nutrients both in my own health and my clients.
ABOVE: WILD NUTRITION’S SUPPLEMENTS
what are the most common health problems you encounter ? and do you think a common thread connects them ?
My work specialises in women’s health and the most common symptoms I have with these clients are sub-fertility and menstrual irregularities such as PCOS, endometriosis, PMS and poor skin health. Most of these are accompanied by digestive imbalances and chronic stress.
what are simple healthful things people can start doing ASAP ?
- Getting more sleep. Sleeping between 10.45-6am has been shown to reduce risk of cardiovascular disease, certain cancers and support your bodies adaption to external stress.
- Start the day with a protein based breakfast. This has been shown to reduce erratic eating and energy levels during the day. A good example would be poached eggs and spinach on rye bread or a quick protein smoothie of greek yoghurt, greens, frozen berries and chia seeds.
- Eat lightly in the evenings at least 3 times per week. Many of us tend to eat our main meal at night. This is a time when digestion can be more sluggish so eating lighter at this time, gives the digestive tract a needed rest.
- Start the day with hot water and a squeeze of fresh lemon juice. This support liver and digestive wellbeing.

so its about time I started leaking out information about the project/business/service I will soon be launching . I’ve been hesitant to do so as i suffer from the dreaded Fear-Of-Failure Syndrome that can be all too crippling , I’m in Los Angeles currently and i’m surprised I’ve not come across some kind of medicated tincture to alleviate said syndrome .. considering they have every pill under the sun , i attribute my inability to locate said pill as sheer laziness and post jet lag eye-blurs .
So What Is This Project?
its a company/ service called THE SUPLUV .. because its all products to supplement your life ! get it get it?!?
the site has ready-to-purchase “BUNDLES ” of curated health and wellness products for specific health purposes . smart huh ? it eliminates the hours trawling through health food shelves as well as researching the best brands as well as the root cause of the issue .
CASE IN POINT : The Skintervention Bundle
This little bag is full of all the things and information needed for those suffering the dreaded acne /break out / confusing skin issues .
so often people scrub skin with chemical peels, or the Voldermort of skin care products (pro pro.. active.. no don’t say it ) or are even medicated with such heavy duty perscriptions before even attempting to find the root cause .
The Skintervention Bundle I curated targets and address issue of the gut-acne axis and the role of good bacteria and the health of someones skin , as well as the chemical affects of skin products , nutrition , the role of detox and acne and a little damage control tips and tricks .
the products are all researched , tested and clean .. and are i believe to be the best in the world .. no seriously . yep
along with the bundle you will receive a GUIDE TO .. which details whats inside , why its inside , as well as all the information you need about EVERYTHING i could think of , and similarly a list of references and reading materials to read up on in order to heal yourself!
THESE GUIDES WILL ACCOMPANY THE BUNDLES IN THE FORM OF AN E-BOOK WHICH WILL BE EMAILED UPON PURCHASE .. SNEAK PEAK OF SOME PAGES BELOW
so thats that , i won’t try to sell them to you .. because i honestly don’t have that used-car-seller gene in my body . but i love doing this and have had so much fun working with all the brands and formulated bundles that are really going to help people look and feel better but most importantly have the information they need to help themselves .
and now i shall retreat to my cave of fear .. thats a dig for compliments people .. send letters .. love letters .. alphabet letters , alphabet soup. and END
lets make this snappy..is that the expression ?
I almost wrote snazzy . then I was like nah that doesn’t look right , then I was like sh*t did I already do this post on sleep . I can’t remember . me tired
So firstly lets chat circadian rhythm .. no that is not cicada’s with exceptional dance skills .. but that would be amazing .. are cicadas just crickets ? what are they .. for some reason they make me think of swamps .
(*note i just googled a cicada , its like a moth / cricket hybrid .. terrifying really)
f*ck me i need to sleep ok .
but heres a nice image i made
so its a pretty serious thing , it has a direct affect of our hormones and mood . from every body of work i have looked at to every health guru, doctor and researcher will site sleep as the NUMBER ONE attribute of life that has the greatest effect on OVERALL HEALTH !
so whats up with our sleep at the moment ?
-stimulants are used regularly and without thought (yep that 3rd coffee by 2 pm is still f*cking your circadian rhythm come 10pm)
-lack of exercise (exercise has a direct affect on the hormones as well as energy cycles , as well as brain chemicals responsible for mood)
-lack of nutrients (magnesium is one of the most depleted nutrients in the modern diet and is in fact the greatest relaxant and most useful supplement to help with sleep disorders )
– indoor lifestyles , as the cicadian is immediately responsive to sunning the lack of which and the more artificial lights as well as not exposing yourself to sunlight upon waking (apparently every time you wake up you should run to a window/outside and open your eyes to the brightest outdoor light , this is the ultimate reset energy boost!)
– LAPTOPS AND SCREENS (yep that blue glow from the phone/computer/tv/laptop/ipad is directly f*cking up your rhythm)
SO i can’t help knock that coffee out of your hand, kick you out into the sunshine every morning , shove your face full of magnesium dense food and get you climbing a tree …
I CAN HELP YOU WITH THE LAST ONE !
FIRSTLY ITS FREE
SO you cheap ass’s have already downloaded it .. typical
“f.lux makes your computer screen look like the room you’re in, all the time. When the sun sets, it makes your computer look like your indoor lights. In the morning, it makes things look like sunlight again.
Tell f.lux what kind of lighting you have, and where you live. Then forget about it. f.lux will do the rest, automatically.”
heres the research if you don’t believe me (rude)
you’re welcome . goodnight
So … make up ..is like the female equivalent of the male ability to lie with great conviction .. yep boys are liars liars pants on fires .
but apparently so are our cosmetic companies … because i am not a scientist and mainly because learning with pictures is funnnnnn , and probably because I’m lazy
SEE BELOW INFOGRAPHIC THAT WILL MAKE YOU GO HOLY SHIZNITT WHAT IS THIS MONSTER PASTE I PUT ON MY FACE AND RUB IN MY EYES !
(Infographic from cosmetologyschool.org)
Ok now breathe … because I’m sure you’re rubbing your face and thinking of all the eggs in your womb that are turning to dust because you bought some cheap ass chemist make up .. which lets face it is a lil too thick anyway (I’m a somewhat expert on this as i spent my teens walking around with enough foundation on that you could scratch your initials in my forehead like a pre-kiln terracotta pot )
*note : above image is not me .. but i could have given this chick a run for her money … O_O
I digress ..
But make up is Fun and pretty and girly you say .. and “clean” or “organic” make up is for the hairy-of-pitted sisters who wash with soap nuts and haven’t figured out that looking fashionable and clean is not in fact an indication of having no social conscious or wanting raisin shrivelled ovaries (I’m going heavy on the ovaries chat .. apologies )
But thanks to a couple of clean people (think Jessica alba, Karlie Kloss and Miranda Kerr) that hippie sh*t is getting a decadent make over ..
ROLL UP ROLL UP
(i am not being endorsed to write this .. because no one would ever endorse me for anything lets face it (yay make up pun) .. and SAD FACE)
so what is this wizardry clean make up Created By esteemed Make Up artist Rose-Marie Swift (no taylor relation i don’t think)
“After many years in the fashion and make-up industry, I’ve learned a lot about the impact of daily exposure to chemicals in beauty care products. I’ve seen what works and what doesn’t live up to its promises. I see the results of taking a quick-fix approach to looking good. I know first-hand the price our health can pay in the pursuit of beauty. I realized that what women need is a cosmetics line that is as pure as possible, one that creates a solid foundation for anti-aging and long-term beauty.
RMS Beauty is dedicated to transforming the way women use makeup, and it’s about more than simply using organic ingredients. In fact, that’s only the first step in creating a product that’s not only non-toxic, but that actually heals and nourishes skin. It all comes down to chemistry: when a raw material is processed for use in cosmetics or other beauty products, it typically undergoes a lengthy process. I was surprised to learn that the majority of ingredients used for natural cosmetics are refined, bleached, deodorized, clarified, fractionated and heated to high temperatures. But this means they are not pure natural ingredients anymore – they are now equivalent to man-made chemicals. Complicating matters more, the processes strip away almost all of the nutrients that make natural ingredients beneficial to skin. Today’s cosmetics and skincare lines are full of mono-nutrients and mono-nutrients do not interact. Only real nutrients interact… anything alive interacts.”
so its beautiful and clean ..and its worth the look into .. its worth the make up overhaul .. a lot of people don’t realise that the quality of their skin is a direct result of the stuff you’re putting on it !
My Suggestion would be the

and it is so important .. And the Company I HEART GUTS thought it was SOOO freakin important that the self proclaimed “anatomically obsessed illustrator” and founder Wendy Bryan decided to turn her obsession into fun toys !
other than being fun and sometimes citing some great reference to articles based on the different organs , there are some beautiful testimonials from people who have bought the products.. One about a mother who bought the stomach for her child that had to surgically have their stomach removed … heartbroken people who received a “new heart” which is so cute .

“EXERCISE. Each morning, after I brush my teeth, wash my face and shake off the first deep layer of sleep, I lie down on the floor beside my bed and begin my first exercise. It is a simple bust-firming routine which consists of lifting five-pound weights from a spread-eagle arm position to a point directly above my head. I do this 15 times, slowly. I repeat the exercise another 15 times from a position with my arms above my head. Then, with my arms at a 45-degree angle from the floor, I move my weights in circles until I’m tired. I don’t count rhythmically like the exercise people on the radio; I couldn’t stand exercise if I had to feel regimented about it.”
By nature, I suppose I have a languorous disposition. I hate to do things in a hurried, tense atmosphere, and it is virtually impossible for me to spring out of bed in the morning. On Sunday, which is my one day of total leisure, Isometimes take two hours to wake up, luxuriating in every last moment of drowsiness. Depending on my activities, I sleep between five and ten hours every night. I sleep in an extra-wide single bed, and I use only one heavy down comforter over me, summer or winter. I have never been able to wear pajamas or creepy nightgowns; they disturb my sleep.”
DINNER. My dinners at home are startlingly simple. Every night I stop at the market near my hotel and pick up a steak, lamb chops or some liver, which I broil in the electric oven in my room. I usually eat four or five raw carrots with my meat, and that is all. I must be part rabbit; I never get bored with raw carrots.
P.S. It’s a good thing, I suppose, that I eat simply during the day, for in recent months I have developed the habit of stopping off at Wil Wright’s ice cream parlor for a hot fudge sundae on my way home from my evening drama classes. I’m sure that I couldn’t allow myself this indulgence were it not that my normal diet is composed almost totally of protein foods.”
