What Halle Berry Taught Me About Lemons

Why is everyone always like .. Drink hot water with lemon first thing in the morning , like always ?
I drink hot water with lemon … every morning .. I have no idea why , its like one of those things you just do because someone is like – it detox’s you .. so you just do it to tick the boxes.
I actually think I learnt this from Halle Berry in an interview when I was about 14 … which goes to show how influential pretty women can be .. good for the Berry , good for me I guess.
Anyway I do love doing it , I feel like its spruces ma gooses and gets me going , especially since I’ve now quit caffeine my lemony friends are very welcome in the morning .. so why is it so good ?
Vitamin :
High vitamin C , which is responsible for collagen production (no wonder Halle Berry looks great) and also that age old thing of fighting off colds
Potassium is also found in abundance in Lemons , which is all about yo’ brain functioning and nervous system function – which is why its beneficial in the mornings to un-fog your dreamy state.
warm water is a gastrointestinal stimulator .. I really feel I don’t need to elaborate .. but stuff be moving
alongside the hot water the lemon loosens toxins on the gastrointestinal tract wall and aids in flushing them out.
Pectin Fiber : 
helps fight hunger cravings , which is why lemons are always touted as weight loss aids. but it also  reduces blood cholesterol levels
alkaline is so the new black . although people assume because lemons have citric acid in them and are sour that they are acidic.. uh oh ! naughty you got it wrong  .. they actually level out PH levels and are among  the most alkaline sources of the food world . I know surprising
*NOTE brush your teeth after drinking it .. sometimes when your teeth are too clean they haven’t got a barrier to the citric acid which can erode teeth ( just a little )
